Reflections on Love, Faith, and Marriage

Reflecting on my marriage with Anatolin on the morning of September 26th, 2024, I felt prompted to share the thoughts and feelings I had written in my personal journal, feeling the crisp autumn air, drifted through the open window, a comforting reminder of the season's change.

In the suburbs of La Union, surrounded by the whispers of faith, my beloved Anatolin and I began a timeless journey together. Our love story, rooted in the tender soil of teenage friendship, blossomed into a marriage sanctified by our shared faith as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Standing by Anatolin's side on our wedding day in 2005 at the Manila Philippines Temple, with our families surrounding us, I felt profound gratitude for the love that had brought us together. We solemnly entered into sacred covenants with Heavenly Father and each other, committing to uphold fidelity, live in a Christlike manner, honor all gospel commitments, and fulfill the divine mandate to multiply and replenish the earth. I remember the warmth of his hand in mine. It was a day filled with hope and promise, a day that marked the beginning of our forever.

The years that followed our wedding were not always easy. We navigated the challenges of starting a family and facing financial uncertainties. One particularly difficult period came in 2009 when we had to choose between employment and an online business, as we wanted to have more time with our growing family. The weight of responsibility felt heavy on our shoulders. I confess, there were moments when fear crept in, and I questioned our ability to overcome this adversity. But even in those challenging days, our faith in God and in each other remained strong. We prayed together, leaned on our families for support, and found strength in the knowledge that we were not alone. Our resilience and determination, coupled with the love and support we shared, helped us weather the storm. We emerged from that experience stronger and more united than ever before.

Looking back, I realize that those challenges, though painful, were ultimately blessings in disguise. They forced us to rely on each other, to draw closer to God, and to appreciate the simple joys of life. It was also during those difficult times that I truly understood the depth of Anatolin's love and commitment to our marriage.

I found solace in knowing that our marriage was more than just a union of two hearts; it was a sacred partnership ordained by God. So I wholeheartedly accepted my role as a devoted wife guided by the principles of faith and love that light our path. 

Each day, as I care for our family, I strive to make our home a heaven on earth where faith and love abounds, drawing strength from the scriptures, words of the living prophet and Anatolin's example. On Sundays, we prepare ourselves for church, eager to gather with our fellow Saints and renew our sacred covenants. We make a conscious effort to make it a time of togetherness and connection, sharing meaningful conversations and strengthening our bonds as a family. We also find opportunities to serve in the church and in the community, following the Savior's example of reaching out to those in need. These small acts of kindness, inspired by the teachings of the scriptures, remind us of the importance of living a life of service and bringing joy to those around us.

Through the challenges that tested our resolve and the triumphs that filled our hearts with gratitude, Anatolin and I stand united, our faith anchoring us in life's storms. In his constant presence, I found a rock to lean on, a partner to share both burdens and blessings on our journey together. 

As the years pass and our love deepen, I marvel at the grace and mercy of our Heavenly Father, who blessed us with a boundless love. In moments of reflection, I offer prayers of thanksgiving for a marriage nurtured by faith, sustained by love, and anchored in eternal promises. Walking hand in hand with Anatolin on our covenant path, I feel our Savior's hand blessing us and weaving our love story into eternity.

This morning, during my scripture study, I had a profound experience where I felt the Savior Himself reaching out to me, inviting me to " arise and come forth unto" Him. Our Love Story

Let me share how our paths crossed, how our relationship blossomed over the years, and how our commitment to each other and our shared faith in   The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints   have been foundational in our journey together. Anatolin and I were both raised by our goodly parents. I was born in San Jose Del Monte Bulacan on February 21, 1982. When I was two years old, our family moved to Bauang, La Union, where we met Sister Lumacad and Sister Mcnutt, missionaries from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Our family accepted the gospel on June 10, 1984 and was sealed at the Manila Philippines Temple on February 1, 1986, two years after it's dedication.  Anatolin was born in San Jose Agoo, La Union on June 25, 1982. We are looking forward to starting and completing our chosen course this fall semester. Child Development course is a theoretical, academically oriented course focusing on the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of the child from conception through adolescence. As parents ourselves and assisting and giving support to other children, we are excited to learn and  explore the influences of family, peers, and social institutions on the child's development.  We know that connecting the dots between what we learn and what we do takes creativity and even stepping outside our comfort zone.Our most favorite part is searching for daily opportunities at home and at work to apply what we learn.
