Walking The Covenant Path: From Baptism To Eternity

My journey began a long time ago, on the special day of my baptism. It was the very first step I took onto the beautiful covenant path. It was the moment I promised to follow Jesus Christ, and from that day forward, my life was set on a course toward eternal happiness.

Years passed, and as I grew in faith and understanding, my journey continued to unfold. The next greatest milestone came when I entered the Holy Temple and was sealed in marriage to my eternal love. That day marked the wonderful continuation of the same path I started as a child. What began with promises made at baptism became even more perfect and complete as we made eternal promises together. In the temple, we were united not just for this life, but for time and all eternity.

Looking back, I realize how simple and clear it all is. We do not have to walk this difficult journey alone. All we truly need to do is walk hand in hand with our Savior Jesus Christ. He is our light, our guide, and our strength. When we keep His commandments, trust in His teachings, and rely on His grace, He leads us safely every step of the way.

And now, as parents, our greatest joy and responsibility is to pass this beautiful gift onward. Together with my husband, we guide and support our four children as they start and progress in their own covenant path. We teach them, worship together, serve together, and help them understand that the same path that blessed our lives will also bring them peace, purpose and eternal blessings.

From my baptism, to our temple marriage, and now to the next generations, this is our greatest treasure.

Temple Ordinance Work

On April 25th this year, we were set apart as ordinance workers with Sister Melanie and Brother Micheal King. We are grateful for the privilege to glimpse celestial joy every time we serve.  Every 4th Tuesday of the month, Anatolin and I travel at 2AM to the Manila Philippines Temple with the Kings. The temple opens at 5AM for ordinance workers. We have prayer meeting at 6 and work until 2 in the afternoon.   Serving as temple workers makes the ordinances and blessings even more special to us as it increases our understanding of the everlasting gospel. Coming closer to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, they become our focus and have peace in our hearts no matter what challenges we face. For the next months before the dedication of the Urdaneta Philippines Temple, we will continue working in the Manila Philippines Temple.

Can you imagine if you had the chance to share your final thoughts with your loved ones before leaving this mortal existence? Well, that's exactly what the prophet Lehi did when he sensed that his life was coming to an end. He gathered his family for one last heart-to-heart. In our early morning Seminary class, we learned about Lehi and his final moments with his loved ones. It's truly touching how he gathered his family together to share the incredible messages that Heavenly Father had revealed to him. It must have been a deeply meaningful and heartfelt experience for everyone involved. It's amazing that Lehi not only shared his personal testimony of the Messiah but also delved into important topics like liberty, obedience, the Fall of Adam and Eve, and the redemption through Jesus Christ. We are looking forward to starting and completing our chosen course this fall semester. Child Development course is a theoretical, academically oriented course focusing on the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of the child from conception through adolescence. As parents ourselves and assisting and giving support to other children, we are excited to learn and  explore the influences of family, peers, and social institutions on the child's development.  We know that connecting the dots between what we learn and what we do takes creativity and even stepping outside our comfort zone.Our most favorite part is searching for daily opportunities at home and at work to apply what we learn.

Wherever we are, our daughter, Cerah Hennah teaches us that standing taller is not just about physical stature. It's about the courage to face our fears, the resilience to overcome our challenges, and the determination to keep moving forward. It's about standing up for what we believe in, standing up for those who can't stand up for themselves, and standing up for the values that define us. Just recently, we were impressed how Cerah approached her 18th birthday with a different perspective.
