How Faith in God Helps us Overcome Challenges

This morning in our Seminary class, we learned a great lesson from the story of Nephi and his brothers. Sometimes, we may be faced with challenging situations or tasks that require obedience and faith in God. Just like Nephi and his brothers were commanded to return to Jerusalem to obtain the brass plates, we too may be asked by the Lord to do difficult things.   In these moments, it's important to trust in God and have faith that He will provide us with the strength and guidance we need to accomplish what He asks of us. It may not always be easy, and we may face obstacles along the way, but having faith in God's plan can help us overcome any challenges.   By exercising our faith in God and being obedient to His commandments, we can learn and grow from these experiences. Unlocking Spiritual Wisdom: Pondering and Applying Counsel from Prophets

First Seminary Class of the year 2024 In our early morning Seminary class today, we learned the importance of receiving and following God’s prophet. Prophets do not always share messages that are popular with the world, but their teachings and warnings demonstrate the Lord’s love for His people. Lehi was called by God to preach repentance to the people of Jerusalem. Despite his pleas and warnings, they rejected his words and sought to kill him.  One truth we can learn from Lehi’s example is that God calls prophets to warn of consequences of sin and to testify of Jesus Christ. Here are some guidance on how to ponder and apply counsel from prophets:   1.  Create a Study Journal : Start by setting up a study journal where you can record your thoughts, impressions, and insights from your study of the prophets' warnings.
