Preparing Our Family for Urdaneta Philippines Temple Dedication


Working as volunteers during the Urdaneta Philippines Temple Open House helped build our family's anticipation and reverence for the upcoming temple dedication.
 
Temple dedications are significant events that require thorough preparation, taking into account spiritual and practical aspects.

Here's how our family is getting ready for this important occasion:
 
Getting Closer to God

We pray together as a family to ask for help, peace, and togetherness as we prepare for the temple dedication. We also read and learn from the scriptures regularly to have an added measure of the Spirit in our home and understand the blessings of the temple better.
 
Getting Ready to Go

At the beginning of the year, we ensured that all family members who are eligible to have a temple recommend have gone through the necessary interviews and preparations. We also made sure we know what to wear and how to act in reverence during the dedication.
 
Staying Together and Learning

In our family time, particularly in our family home evenings, we discuss the significance of temple dedication and the blessings our family hopes to receive. We also engage in family history work leading up to the dedication. This helps our family feel connected to our ancestors. 
  
Helping Others and Working Together

We look for service opportunities as a family to serve others and each other in preparation for the temple dedication.

Looking Forward to Growing

As we look forward to the Urdaneta Philippines Temple Dedication, we are grateful for the chance to come together as a family and share in this meaningful experience. We know this sacred event will strengthen our family and bring us closer to each other and to the Lord.

This morning, during my scripture study, I had a profound experience where I felt the Savior Himself reaching out to me, inviting me to " arise and come forth unto" Him. It was as if a veil was lifted, and I could sense His presence more clearly than ever before. This invitation prompted me to delve deeper into understanding how He invites us to come closer to Him. Our Love Story

Let me share how our paths crossed, how our relationship blossomed over the years, and how our commitment to each other and our shared faith in   The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints   have been foundational in our journey together. Anatolin and I were both raised by our goodly parents. I was born in San Jose Del Monte Bulacan on February 21, 1982. When I was two years old, our family moved to Bauang, La Union, where we met Sister Lumacad and Sister Mcnutt, missionaries from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Our family accepted the gospel on June 10, 1984 and was sealed at the Manila Philippines Temple on February 1, 1986, two years after it's dedication.  Anatolin was born in San Jose Agoo, La Union on June 25, 1982. We are looking forward to starting and completing our chosen course this fall semester. Child Development course is a theoretical, academically oriented course focusing on the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of the child from conception through adolescence. As parents ourselves and assisting and giving support to other children, we are excited to learn and  explore the influences of family, peers, and social institutions on the child's development.  We know that connecting the dots between what we learn and what we do takes creativity and even stepping outside our comfort zone.Our most favorite part is searching for daily opportunities at home and at work to apply what we learn.
