Finding Inspiration in the Urdaneta Philippines Temple Open House and Dedication


In the past few weeks, our family has been actively involved in preparing the community and offering our services during the Urdaneta Philippines Temple Open House. As we eagerly anticipate its dedication, we have experienced a profound shift in our focus, finding ourselves drawn back to our Savior, Jesus Christ. This blog explores our journey and the inspiration we have discovered along the way.


Building Community Connections

The temple open house brought our community together in a unique way. We met people from different walks of life, and it was heartwarming to witness the excitement and curiosity on their faces as they explored the temple. As we engaged in conversations and answered their questions, we realized the power of the temple to unite people, regardless of their backgrounds or beliefs. It reminded us of the universal message of love and hope that the gospel brings.

Redirecting Our Focus

Amidst the busyness of preparations and the anticipation of the temple dedication, we found ourselves being redirected to our Savior, Jesus Christ. The temple serves as a reminder of His sacrifice and the eternal blessings that await us. It is a place where we can feel His presence and find solace in His teachings. Our experiences during the open house reminded us of the importance of centering our lives on Him and striving to follow His example.

Strengthening Family Bonds

As a family, our involvement in the temple open house has brought us closer together. We have worked side by side, shared meaningful conversations, and supported one another in our service. The temple has become a focal point for our family, strengthening our bond and reinforcing our commitment to living the gospel. It has provided us with opportunities to teach our children about the eternal nature of families and the blessings that come from temple worship.
 
Anticipating the Dedication

As the Urdaneta Philippines Temple prepares for its dedication on 28 April 2024, our excitement continues to grow. We eagerly look forward to the sacred moments that will take place within its walls. The dedication will mark the culmination of months of preparation and anticipation, and it will be a time of joy and gratitude for our family and the entire community.

The Urdaneta Philippines Temple Open House has been a transformative experience for our family. It has reminded us of the power of service, the importance of community connections, and the need to redirect our focus to our Savior, Jesus Christ. As we eagerly await the temple's dedication, we are filled with gratitude for the blessings it will bring to our lives and the lives of those around us. May we continue to find inspiration in the temple and strive to live according to the teachings of our Savior.

This morning, during my scripture study, I had a profound experience where I felt the Savior Himself reaching out to me, inviting me to " arise and come forth unto" Him. It was as if a veil was lifted, and I could sense His presence more clearly than ever before. This invitation prompted me to delve deeper into understanding how He invites us to come closer to Him. Our Love Story

Let me share how our paths crossed, how our relationship blossomed over the years, and how our commitment to each other and our shared faith in   The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints   have been foundational in our journey together. Anatolin and I were both raised by our goodly parents. I was born in San Jose Del Monte Bulacan on February 21, 1982. When I was two years old, our family moved to Bauang, La Union, where we met Sister Lumacad and Sister Mcnutt, missionaries from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Our family accepted the gospel on June 10, 1984 and was sealed at the Manila Philippines Temple on February 1, 1986, two years after it's dedication.  Anatolin was born in San Jose Agoo, La Union on June 25, 1982. BYU-I Fall 2021

We are looking forward to starting and completing our chosen course this fall semester. Child Development course is a theoretical, academically oriented course focusing on the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of the child from conception through adolescence. As parents ourselves and assisting and giving support to other children, we are excited to learn and  explore the influences of family, peers, and social institutions on the child's development.  We know that connecting the dots between what we learn and what we do takes creativity and even stepping outside our comfort zone.Our most favorite part is searching for daily opportunities at home and at work to apply what we learn.
