Temple Ordinance Work


On April 25th this year, we were set apart as ordinance workers with Sister Melanie and Brother Micheal King. We are grateful for the privilege to glimpse celestial joy every time we serve. 

Every 4th Tuesday of the month, Anatolin and I travel at 2AM to the Manila Philippines Temple with the Kings. The temple opens at 5AM for ordinance workers. We have prayer meeting at 6 and work until 2 in the afternoon.  


Serving as temple workers makes the ordinances and blessings even more special to us as it increases our understanding of the everlasting gospel. Coming closer to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, they become our focus and have peace in our hearts no matter what challenges we face.

For the next months before the dedication of the Urdaneta Philippines Temple, we will continue working in the Manila Philippines Temple.

For Latter-day Saints , the concept of eternal families is central to our beliefs. We strive to create homes filled with love, respect, and growth. As parents, it is just right to worry and  calculate the finances required to run a family. But this often leads to realization that the cost of raising a child, education, bills, etc. is substantial. Not to mention the need for planning our retirement.  So, the money we may be getting may not seem sufficient, especially recently that the inflation is so high and we can't help but chase after it. BYU-I Fall 2021

We are looking forward to starting and completing our chosen course this fall semester. Child Development course is a theoretical, academically oriented course focusing on the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of the child from conception through adolescence. As parents ourselves and assisting and giving support to other children, we are excited to learn and  explore the influences of family, peers, and social institutions on the child's development.  We know that connecting the dots between what we learn and what we do takes creativity and even stepping outside our comfort zone.Our most favorite part is searching for daily opportunities at home and at work to apply what we learn.

Preparing our Children for their First Temple Experience

It's a special milestone for our family that our youngest daughter, Czerinah Ellah is turning 12 this year and becomes eligible to participate in temple ordinances with her limited-use temple recommend and participate in certain sacred ordinances within the temple. Having her able to participate alongside the rest of our family is a joyous occasion. We are thrilled for this opportunity to support one another in these sacred experiences. We are glad that she will no longer need to wait for us to finish our temple sessions and can now make important covenants and receive blessings that can strengthen her faith and deepen her relationship with our Heavenly Father.    As Czerinah Ellah prepares for this significant step, we believe it's important to help her understand the sacredness and significance of the temple ordinances. Fathers and Mothers, Daughters and Sons

Families are essential in Heavenly Father’s plan of happiness. We are part of a heavenly family and an earthly one. President Gordon B. Hinckley taught:  “God is the designer of the family. He intended that the greatest of happiness, the most satisfying aspects of life, the deepest joys should come in our associations together and our concerns one for another as fathers and mothers and children” Temple and family history work unites families. Husbands and wives, parents and children can be sealed through sacred temple ordinances. The goal of this process is that “the whole chain of God’s family shall be welded together into one chain, and they shall all become the family of God and His Christ” (Joseph F. Smith, Millennial Star, Oct. 4, 1906, 629). Personal and family history work have been been a source of joy and peace in our family. Children and Youth Program Initiative

Part of our Family Home Evening last 25 February 2020 was watching the Face to Face event for children, youth, parents, and leaders, where President and Sister Oaks answered questions from around the world focusing on the Children and Youth program which is to strengthen the rising generation’s faith in Jesus Christ, and help children, youth, and their families progress along the covenant path as they meet life’s challenges. Our children then made a resolution to follow the process more intentionally: discover, plan, act, and reflect. They have also set personal goals that challenge and stretch them and continue to discover new talents, interests, and skills. This morning, when my husband and I woke up, we were surprised to see the house already sparkling clean. They worked together to do the house chores after their personal prayer and scripture study.
