Mother's Day Spa

On May 9th,Kamaile and Addilyn woke up super early to set up this Mother's Day Spa. It's so sweet of them and all the other kids to remember the mothers and give them a special treat they deserve. We just realized the Hernandos love surprises as much as we do. Neuroscience tells us that surprises are an essential element to live a full, engaged, and happy life. 

Undoubtedly, all the riches in the world do not come close to the happiness of having children and being a mother ❣️

Our New Year's Family Tradition Takes a Beautiful Turn

  Since we started our family, it has been a New Year's tradition for my husband, Anatolin , to give a priesthood blessing to me and each of our children. As we prepare to welcome the new year and seek the Lord's guidance for the months ahead, these blessings have become a cherished part of our family gospel culture – a way to invite the Spirit into our home, express love for one another, and set our hearts on things of eternal worth.   We gather in our living room and Anatolin would begin by opening his mouth in prayer, then place his hands upon our heads as he pronounced blessings tailored to each of our individual needs and circumstances – whether it was for a child preparing to serve a mission, for me navigating a new career chapter, or simply for strength to face whatever challenges lay ahead. Preparing our Children for their First Temple Experience

It's a special milestone for our family that our youngest daughter, Czerinah Ellah is turning 12 this year and becomes eligible to participate in temple ordinances with her limited-use temple recommend and participate in certain sacred ordinances within the temple. Having her able to participate alongside the rest of our family is a joyous occasion. We are thrilled for this opportunity to support one another in these sacred experiences. We are glad that she will no longer need to wait for us to finish our temple sessions and can now make important covenants and receive blessings that can strengthen her faith and deepen her relationship with our Heavenly Father.    As Czerinah Ellah prepares for this significant step, we believe it's important to help her understand the sacredness and significance of the temple ordinances. Breakfast after our early morning Seminary Class  After two failed attempts to obtain the plates of brass from Laban, Nephi crept into Jerusalem by night with faith in the Lord. However, he had little idea of how to accomplish his task (1 Nephi 4). We can definitely relate to Nephi's experience of feeling strongly about something but being unsure of how to accomplish it. Personally, there have been many instances in my life where I've felt a strong desire or prompting to pursue a particular goal or take a certain path, but I've been uncertain about the steps to take or the outcome.   In such situations, it's important to remember that we are not alone. Just as Nephi had faith in the Lord, we too can trust in Heavenly Father's guidance and His willingness to help us.
