Part of our Family Home Evening last 25 February 2020 was watching the Face to Face event for children, youth, parents, and leaders, where President and Sister Oaks answered questions from around the world focusing on the Children and Youth program which is to strengthen the rising generation’s faith in Jesus Christ, and help children, youth, and their families progress along the covenant path as they meet life’s challenges.

Our children then made a resolution to follow the process more intentionally: discover, plan, act, and reflect. They have also set personal goals that challenge and stretch them and continue to discover new talents, interests, and skills.

This morning, when my husband and I woke up, we were surprised to see the house already sparkling clean. They worked together to do the house chores after their personal prayer and scripture study.

The opportunity to counsel with our children to discover the areas of growth and learning they are interested in is a blessing to us. We know that as they receive revelation for their lives, build gospel-centered relationships, and exercise agency as they grow, they will be successful in all areas of life.

While visiting the Marikina Shoe Museum, we stumbled upon something that stopped and amazed us – a massive old tree that had clearly fallen during a strong storm. But instead of decay and death, what we saw was a powerful testament to life's ability to adapt and thrive against all odds. It's a special milestone for our family that our youngest daughter, Czerinah Ellah is turning 12 this year and becomes eligible to participate in temple ordinances with her limited-use temple recommend and participate in certain sacred ordinances within the temple. Having her able to participate alongside the rest of our family is a joyous occasion. We are thrilled for this opportunity to support one another in these sacred experiences. We are glad that she will no longer need to wait for us to finish our temple sessions and can now make important covenants and receive blessings that can strengthen her faith and deepen her relationship with our Heavenly Father. So just recently, we made dad's morning routine. This is his other routine early morning before going to the market or sometimes in the afternoon after doing other more urgent tasks. Our dad is a farm boy. He grew up in the farm. One of his dreams is to be an agriculturist. We think our dad is really the best at everything he does! We love you dad!

Breakfast after our early morning Seminary Class After two failed attempts to obtain the plates of brass from Laban, Nephi crept into Jerusalem by night with faith in the Lord. However, he had little idea of how to accomplish his task (1 Nephi 4). We can definitely relate to Nephi's experience of feeling strongly about something but being unsure of how to accomplish it. Personally, there have been many instances in my life where I've felt a strong desire or prompting to pursue a particular goal or take a certain path, but I've been uncertain about the steps to take or the outcome. In such situations, it's important to remember that we are not alone. Just as Nephi had faith in the Lord, we too can trust in Heavenly Father's guidance and His willingness to help us.
