Family History Fair


Family history is more than just names and dates on a family tree; it is a tapestry of stories, traditions, and memories that connect us to our past and shape our future. The Family History Fair at Urdaneta Stake Center, hosted by the missionaries, was a celebration of these connections, a gathering of individuals and families dedicated to preserving the legacy of generations.

Our family had the opportunity to explore our roots, discover unknown family stories, and connect with others who share a passion for genealogy. We enjoyed a variety of activities that helped us on our journey of uncovering our family history.
 
The Family History Fair provided something for everyone, regardless of their level of experience.

 
We express our gratitude to the missionaries for their hard work and dedication in preparing for the Family History Fair and for sharing their talents and creativity to showcase the rich tapestry of family history, connecting generations past, present, and future. We were reminded of the importance of preserving our stories and traditions, ensuring that the legacy of our ancestors lives on for generations to come.

We recently had the incredible opportunity to visit the Holy Infant Clinic,  the place where all our precious children were born! It was a heartwarming experience as we reunited with Dr. Zarate and the midwives who played such a significant role in bringing our little ones into the world. Writing this, I'm definitely feeling older. I've gained weight, my skin is not as vibrant as it once was and I'm more anxious about eating right, exercising, meditating, sleeping more, and surrounding myself with loved ones. Finding time for regular scripture study is a real challenge for most parents like us, but with heaven's help, inspirations and creative preparations, we can excite the entire family and make gospel study a habit.  In our early morning family devotional at the beach today, we had a spiritual experience appreciating the beauty of the earth and the creations. We also had a deeper understanding of what it means to “have dominion … over every living thing that moveth upon the earth”.
